Homelite has produced outdoor power equipment for approximately 70 decades. Along with generators, pressure washers and mowers, the company sells a line of chain saws. The primer bulb onto a chain saw compels fuel in the carburetor, which helps make starting a cold saw easier. A primer bulb typically has two gasoline lines, or hoses, mounted to it.
Gas Lines
One gas line goes from the fuel tank to the primer bulb. On Homelite chain saws, this lineup attaches onto the primer bulb to the longer of the two gas line fittings. This gas line’s gas tank end has a filter, which retains the line and ensures fuel that is clean reaches the carburetor. The second gas line extends out of the primer bulb into the chain saw’s carburetor. This gas line attaches to the shorter of the two primer bulb fittings.
