1. Clean and Fresh Cleveland Toilet

This chamber has a beautiful form and magnificent view, but the owners were prepared to get more serene colors and fixtures.

Ryan Duebber Architect, LLC

AFTER: A new colour palette, easy substances, clean lines (along with a much-improved television set) gave the homeowners the spa texture that they were heading for.

2. From Historical Attic to Bright Bathroom

Slanted ceilings are all tricky. Designer Brian Patterson adopted the challenge head on, providing an excess toilet before their new baby came to the owners.

AFTER: The ceilings ended up feeling cozy when Patterson tucked a tub and other amenities into corners. A palette and a great deal of windows removed the loft texture.

3. Simple Style to get a San Francisco Toilet

Retro can be amazing, but not necessarily. This bathroom fell into the latter group — the clanking plumbing, poor tiling and old electrical system were prepared for an update.

AFTER: The owners worked with Bill Fry Construction to keep the bathroom’s basic layout, but changed out the rarely used tub for a shower. Bright white subway tile, a white ceiling and a very clear shower door make the room feel bigger than its 40 square feet. 4. Quirky Subway-Style Powder Room

A love of New York City motivated this California family to have a new approach for their small powder room.

AFTER: Designer Lisa Konjicek-Segundo eliminates this awkward niche and shell sink, making a huge photo of New York’s Spring Street subway station the focus. The clients “thought that the bathroom looks like it’s sitting on the subway platform was humorous,” she says.

5. Classic Materials for a Florida Toilet

The brown and orange tiles in this guest toilet surely were not ideal, however, the rotted timber and damaged plumbing posed a much greater difficulty. The homeowner began over and gutted the distance.

AFTER: With the 1970s colour palette removed, the homeowner could give the toilet a traditional look that match his 1920s cottage.

6. Stylish New Search for a Small Boston Space

Poor light, obsolete finishes and nominal storage didn’t make this Boston bath very welcoming for its owner.

AFTER: Sticking to a strict budget, designer Stephanie Sabbe transformed the space using an Etsy wall stencil and glowing Benjamin Moore paint. A new custom vanity with a marble top, and traditional flooring and shower tile equilibrium out the on-trend elements.

7. Spa Style at Beverly, Massachusetts

Poor insulation meant this couple’s 1990s toilet was freezing the majority of the year. The outdated space also didn’t possess the relaxing spa look they wanted.

AFTER: Radiant heat, new insulation, modern metallic tiles and also a new layout made space, warmth and style.

8. Vintage-Inspired Row House Remodel

The purple floors, red walls and painted-over subway tile were not owner Megan Adams’ design, but the plumbing issues and rotted joist presented a more immediate problem.

AFTER: Adams and her husband started from scratch, gutting the bathroom, upgrading the plumbing and giving the space a timeless look with white subway and hex tile and grey grout.
